This is really for stand alone DVD recorders and it sound like yours is a computer DVD drive. Having said that when you repost in the computer hardware section can you put a little more detail. Like what kind of PC? Operating System? what do you mean by "doesn't respond", what do you mean by "plugged in" - i.e. pugged in to what?
