corsa non starter?

used car yesterday no problems/strange noises etc
wont start today, seems like no compression, starter turns over but no resistance. checked oil level and cap for 'mayonaise' all ok. help please.

Probably timing chain/belt (you dont say what year/engine you have, try reading the posting instructions) snapped.
