I believe there was a power surge last night, and although I have a surge protector, the DVD player will not turn on at all now when plugged in. I opened it up and found some gooey pink stuff leaking inside, which may or may not be related to the problem.

I am hoping it is simple to repair this, such as changing the fuse, etc?
