piaggio piston/bore kits?

the piaggio nrg mc3 air cooled mallossi aluminium 70cc bore kit - any good?

the one that came with the bike when i bought it was severely damaged, can this mess the engine?

I was told that the aluminium particles would have passed straight thru into exhaust system and been expelled from bike in that manner.... how true is this "fact"?

Not sure till i take a proper look tommorow.

IF that is the case about the end bearing etc. what sort of damage am i looking at?

by the way the engine was running absolutely fine, I only had a problem with the electric start. rode it to repair shop, (about 20 miles max., with full oil chamber) switched it off, mechanic tried to restart off kicker, then realised compression was gone. i didnt notice any rattleing or noise or smell on journey could i have caught the problem in time, or is there no telling till i replace piston, and try to start her

well it would certainly throw any loose bits towards the exhaust port and out of the pipe but its not to say the reason the piston was damaged in the beginning wasnt due to a main or big end bearing breaking up as these do do that and it comes from the bottom of the engines upwards, what type of damage did the piston have on it and was there any head damage like pitting to the heads surface?as this usually indicates a break up of metal parts inside the engine.ps malossi are very good and so are polini and metrakit.
