landrover wont start?

i took the battery of my 300 tdi landrover discovery to weld the inner wings up. when i re fit the battey everthing works but engine wont do anything. i was told it could be a part called a spider but can not find it anywhere on it. what do i do now. cheers

is the engine to chassis earth lead connected and making good connection-check by using one jump lead from battery-ve to good clean metal part of engine if it now starts then above is your problem.
