how do you replace the ignition barrel on a vivaro 1900 cdti?

how do you relace the ignition barrel on a vauxhall vivaro 1900 cdti only it as collapsed inside and i can't get the key in?

spray inside with wd40 first
then try to work key back and forth into barrel
remove cowling to see lock fully
tap body of lock with hammer whilst turning key
key must turn on ign or barrel will not come out
