LG Washing machine WD(M)1290 flashing "SE" sensor error?

Can anyone tell me how to interrogate the "SE" sensor error on the LG washer or what may be causing it. It stopped part way thro` its cycle. It will fill with water and rotate two or three times before it fails. Does anyone have any knowledge on this fault ?

Definitely a sensor error of some sort. I'm currently stripping one down and testing components to see what failed. I'll let you know if I find something
