I need Firmware update for Logik 1GB MP3 Plyer?

I have a Logik 1GB MP3 Player that has recently being showing the following errormessage "Incorrect file format. Reformat Player". Which I did using WinXP Home SP2 & Win98SE and it still does not work. I went back to the store and was told to find a firmware update for it, which is proving to be considerable hard to do.

it's format is FAT36, and you can't format to it on Windows, so you should get some linux live cd maybe...

Anyway as much as I have looked probable answers, I have seen that Logik isn't good player :(
