307 peugeot outside door handle?

my front passenger side outside door handle has been pulled off how do i fix it back in or do i need to buy a new one.

its a pain in the backside. it happened to my wife's car and worked for a week. the space to get your hands in to secure the locks and stuff inside the door are minute. I'm still trying to figure out how to create a space on the door without compromising the integrity of the door itself.
