While looking for loose change in the dryer, I manually spun the drum (apparently a stupid move). I heard a knock/pop and now the dryer does not run at all. Thanks in advance.

If the dryer hums but doesn't rotate, the drum has slipped off the belt tensioner & motor shaft.
Go to doityourslef.com, click on forums and go to appliance repairs. There, you'll find the repairs laid out for you with actual photos. To write it up would take too much space here.
It's definitely DIY do-able if you can wield a screwdriver
