central locking has started to activate (without prompting) soon after starting the engine and reaching about 10 to 15 mph
any advise would be appreciated

to Wardy, Thanks for your for your answer, tried what you suggested and it is now OK, Apparantly holding in the button on dash sets & unsets automatic locking at speeds above 6 mph.

sounds like a saftey feature has been activated. do you have a button on the dash that locks the doors ??? if so try pressing it hold for so many seconds an see if it bleeps and try again.
