what is the strange piston like noise near my cambelt?
What is the strange intermittent hissing noise coming from the area around my cambelt? this only happens when the engine is in tick over. The car is a 2003 citreon xara picasso 2.0L diesel.
could be any amount of things,it could be alternator,P.A.S pump,belt adjusters,idlers,try removing fan belt and see if the noise disappears,if not the timing belt etc will have to be investigated
