I have a Philips TV that wont turn on by the remote or by the tv switch. This is a Philips m# 27pt5441/37. Please help me. Thank You.

hi there
you didnt mention if the remote worked ok when the tv was actually switch on normally.
if not it could be a number of things within the remote it's self

old batteries , bad connections , broken ir led
or the faviorate if its been dropped is the yellow or blue
xtal ceramic resonator has become disconnected
if so simple get a new new one and solder it in .
all the above answers though are only revelant if the remote
does not work when the tv is switched on normally ..
