immobiliser problem?

had problem with key fob on 2001 vectra b.had key repaired,but immobiliser wont switch of.car locks and unlocks ok and engine turns but wont start.fuel pump not working.can i reset it or switch of

Make sure the immobiliser chip is still in the key.
