Showerforce turbo pump not working?

My shower pump has stopped working, after a couple of days of stop/start, it just doesn't pump anymore and is 'dead'. Does anyone know why? Do I just buy a new one or can anything be done to fix it?

I have a similar pump and it has the same problem. I read somewhere that it might be a problem with a component (capacitor) on the control PCB so I am going to investigate this weekend.
