cdi problems?

Hi All~

I have a 2003 Kawasaki kx 125 dirt bike that stalls and floods the engine. bike never really hits the power band. I have rebuilt the carb, honed the engine walls, new piston and rings and test the electrical system. During electrical test, I had found voltage was dropping from the STator to the CDI. So I replaced the STator with new. Did not fix a thing. Now I am thinking the CDI is shorting out or is just the coil. It happens for a short time and once the engine cools a bit, the bike starts again. Don't know if coil or CDI. I will have the Digital multimeter hooked up, and I can't really capture the Voltage drop or test the coil when bad. Bike starts up right away again.
