dyson DC07 cuts out at switch on?

My DC07 cuts out as soon as I've pressed the switch on the machine.I have cleared the tubes and the filter ,yellow round one in the clear plasic chamber.

It maybe the switch mechanism itself. I've changed one on an earlier model, bit fidly but cheap to do.
