How do I change power cord on a Hoover U5721-900?

I have a new power core for my Hoover U5721-900. However, I can't figure out how to get to where the cord connects to the unit?

I'm not sure about your vac but i just had to replace the cord on mine, it had gotten nicked badly and found the diagram on this website, http://www.vacshopusa.com/hu5393900.pdf, to be very useful.
