noisy?

I bought a dyson in December. It makes a loud noise as I vacuum. I have cleaned the roller and replaced it perfectly, yet after I vacuum a few strokes it makes this same LOUD noise. I am beginning to hate my vacuum. What can I do?

Check that the pre-motor filter isn't blocked as this will cause the inwards relief valve to operate (it gives off a loud sucking sound). To verify, simply operate the machine with the filter removed, but don't suck anything up in this configuration.
