sounds like the selector more than the diff its self does it drive normally in reverse test by reversing in a tight circle if outside tyre scrubs then you have a prob with the diff try manualy selecting forward and reverse directly on gearbox disconnect linkage.
not sure with snapper but most boxes parts are not avaliable individualy but remove it from machine and strip down see what you can find nothing to loose
