I have been given the above recorder - basically if I can repair it I can keep it.

Its a Panasonic DMR-ES30V
When plugged in there is no power, the TV seemed to recognise the device was connected to the SCART connection when powering up but no display.

I checked the power cable by using the one from my SKY HD box and plugging it into the VCR/DVD Combo - again nothing.

I have since taken the lid off and attempted to power up - it seems to recognise the power as the fan spins for a short while but thats it - nothing.

Would this indicate a fuse blow out? Or something else?
