1998 chevy malibu axle half shaft removal?

I currently have hub nut and bearing assembly off of front passenger side, I am looking to remove and replace axle halfshaft (CV shaft) at transmission. Is there a keeper holding the shaft at transmission?

No buts theres a special tool for pulling it and it can be done with a prybar at trans ....put behind axle and POP out
