Problem with sound recording on Toshiba RD-85DTSB?

I have a problem with sound recording on Toshiba RD-85DTSB. The machine records onto the Video onto the HDD but no Audio. Recordings made before the fault play successfully complete with Audio but not since. Any ideas on how to repair?

Exactly the same problem. Contacted Toshiba support but they didn't really want to know.
