asus dsl-n10 adsl modem router wireless-n not helping to connect with yahoo?

I bought a new ASUS WIRELESS ADSL GATEWAY N10 MODEM. It got auto-configured well with the help of CD given by the OEM. I am using INDIA-BSNL BROADBAND. The modem works well and I am getting good service from my ISP. I am able to browse all the web sites except YAHOO AND YAHOO MAIL.

As IE9 collapsed on its own ( System restore did not help to revert it to IE8) I use Mozzila fire fox and Chrome browsers.

can u help me to fix the problem of not connecting to yahoo mail?

I think what Electro says is logical, however, sometimes it's a simple DNS problem. If you were already using another ISP or even another product of the same ISP, your DNS Server may already be set to search for Domain Names on the original server (it's automatic). What you may need to do first is to delete the old ISP service off your computer. Even if you've disconnected, if it's still software installed on your computer, that's where it searches for Yahoo. If that is happening as soon as you do what I suggest you'll find the web sites will be contactable, because Ie or another browser will search for the nearest DNS Server and find one within your new connectivity.

Enter the router's configuration, probably at address http://192.168.0.1/
If not that address, look in your documentation to get the correct address.

You probably need to enter the Advanced section and check for some websites filtering and remove Yahoo if it's listed.

Is your server using IPV4 or IPV6? As you are in India, and India (Asia in general) ran out of IPV4 addresses, the later is likely.

If you use IPV6, you may need to configure some IPV6 to IPV4 tunneling if Yahoo don't yet have an IPV6 IP address.
