asus a7c series no wireless search?

Hi, Can anyone help, my asus laptop has lost the ability to find any wireless connections, i have just gone from a dongle to a fixed line broadband with wireless router, which is working fine, but can only connect by ethernet cable, it would be great to connect wireles.can only think that it must be problems either with laptop software/hardware.
Hope you can help, many thanks, Gaz

Whireless may be disabled at the router level. It can be turned ON and OFF from the router's configuration page.

While cable connected to your router, check that it's wireless capability is enabled.
The exact location of that setting is brand and model specific, but should be relatively easy to find.

make sure that your wireless connection is switched on, you can also check if it is enabled by going into control panel, network & sharing. click on change adapter settings, highlite wireless connection then right click, it will then show either enable or disable, if it shows disable it is already enabled.
