LCD display not working?

Does anyone know how to fix the LCD display on a Renault Espace which has completely gone off? The radio controls on the steering column are also not working although the radio works fine!

I've got exactly the same problem as Stu, but on a megane. Fuses all work. Everything works except the display and remote
