Corsa starts then loud clicking noise then goes dead?

My corsa (54 plate 1 litre) cut out on me then wouldnt start again. Towed it home then started it, it was making a loud clicking noise then went dead? Definatley not the battery. Any help???

the chain may have jumped if you go to ebay you can get the gaskets and parts you need and most likley the valves will be ok.but you will have to re move the front engine case to get it off and change and retime it when we did one all the sprockets were ok

sounds like the timing chain the tensioners break and they make a hell of noise.lf you take off the camshaft cover you may be able to see the chain at top and pull it up to see if its loose, then you will know if its this

My dad has had a look and cant see anything. Even when it did start it sounded rough and as if their was no power.

Definately not the battery, they do not make much noise, odd hiss now and again.
Look under the bonnet, look for loose belts, snapped belts etc. Soory but you are going to have to open it up.
