Hi..Have an 02 Espace..central locking working fine on all doors.. locking & unlocking..but tailgate won't unlock all the time..can't find a manual 'opener'..any idea of the problem? When the key is depressed you can 'hear' the central locking going on an off..but tailgate stays locked..help anyone???

Check the position of the opening lever-mine doesn't always return to it's original position,if stuck then physically push it back and then relock and open central locking-this worked for me until today. Cost me £40 for renault garage to open it-I suspect by just squirting Wd40 everywhere-they then wanted £200 to fit a new mechanism. Ebay second-hand £15 so I'm doing it myself.
