Hi,

replacing the interlock is a easy procedure, its behind the front panel,

its the mechanism that holds the door closed, and it sounds like it failed on the drying cycle, hence the E10 error.

your primary error was the door interlock.Replacing the interlock is no guarantee of fixing this issue,
as I have mentioned it may have damaged the pcb,

if either yourself or partner doesn't feel confident undertaking such a repair, then maybe its time to call in a pro.

Take a look on youtube.espares have posted videos on wm repair,

replacing the interlock is one of those vids, similar model, but the exact same method,.

whatever you decide to do gud luck.

if you decide to diy and get stuck with any thing post back on here and someone will help.

Paul, thanks so much for your early reply; its been so stressing, is it an issue that I or my partner can try to resolve or do I need to call in another expert?

E40 indecates a door lock problem.

What you can try is replace the door lock and see if that cures the problem.
If still doing it then the control board/pcb will be the problem.

But most of the time when you get an E40 fault and the door is closeing ok its the door lock thats the problem.

The E 10 error is the absence of water during the drying cycle,in most cases its the triple valve that needs replacing.

Its possible that the door interlock has damaged the pcb,,

this could explain the E10 error when the machine aborts
