Unable to start engine of renault megane 1996 model?

Before leaving for holiday I disconnected the battery terminals. When reconnecting them I was unable to start car, and key remote control does not work

is the battery up to power take it off and charge it make sure all wires are back on and try agian.other wise its the code read to give you fault.
