the brake light switch is located above the passenger footwell and not above the pedal as stated.remove the carpet under the dash and its located there it maybe a green or red switch easy to change and only coast about £15.00

i take it the problem with your car is that the brake lights stay on even when your foot is not on the brake, the switch that operates the brake lights on 99percent of cars is above the brake pedal, just follow the pedal upward and you will see a small push switch with two wires coming from it, it can be a bit of a pain to replace (its in a awkward place to get to)but should take no more than 20 to 30 mins to replace, the easyest way is to take the drivers seat out so you can lie on your back, you dont have to do this it just makes it easyer, hope this was the fix you where looking for good luck
