i looking to purchase a citroen xsara picasso, but the person selling it says, there a fault when its running and not moveing the tempreture goes frm to bars into the red then fan kicks in and it goes back to 2 bars is this normal

It is 12000 miles or almost 12 months since it was last reset and is therefore telling you it needs to be serviced and reset. Have it serviced and re-set. If I tell you how to reset it, you may forget to have it serviced.
