how can i fix my acer laptop aspire 3000?

my computer kepps cutting out, even when i use the powercord. I happens during the day, not much during the night. how do i fix this.

Sounds like it's overheating. Check what it's sitting on. Some laptops (i think the aspire 3000 is one) have a cooling duct on the bottom. Check that your laptop is on a hard surface (not knees - BAD!) and that the vents are clear from any obstruction.
