Intermediate starting problem?

I have a 3 year old renault scenic 2ltr petrol injection.
Starts ok in the morning but if it's been running and you try and start the engine after stopping for a short while it wont start. it turns over ok but wont fire up. If you wait 2 to 5 mins it starts ok. It dosn't happen all the time, after a servive last week it was ok for 4 days. Any ideas?

sounds like its flooding when you switch off. try starting with accellorator pedal fully depressed (to let more air in and evaporate off the surplus petrol) Hold it down, don't pump it.

if it starts then its a fuel problem and you need to sort it.
