How do I get my bristles on the floor attachment on my dyson dc 35 to spin?

We have dyson digital slim DC 35 vac and the floor attachment wont spin. I have tried everything I can think of. Please help.

Have you renewed thr drive belt or cleaned the existing brush roller of ALL hairs etc, which could cause it to slip.
