Digital freeview box not working?

I have Thomson digital tv freeview box, one with top up tv and recording functions. A few days ago it stopped working.. I can get the green light on but I keep getting the same message on my tv screen.. the message being that I need a working harddrive. Don't know what happened to my hardrive as it was working and recieving all freeview channels. But now all I can recieve is BBC channels.. When I try to rescan my channels all I get is that I need a working harddrive..
Is the digital box knackered or can it be fixed?

Usual psu problems. Ebay is the place to look for replacement/repaired psu. You may have to take the box apart to get the psu out and post it off. Be careful as there is a capacitor that holds its charge, I`ve had a kick from it a couple of times. It b****y hurts. Its the big one in the middle of the psu pcb. Good luck
