johndeere lx178 no fuel from tank?

checked line from tank to fuel filter still will not pump gas to engine, only when gas is poored in carb.it will start.

Fuel pump bad? If the diaphragm is ruptured,it will likely put fuel in the sump, too. Not expensive to fix.
