Hotpoint 560p Tumble Dryer removing top?

I have removed screws from two brackets on back of top but cannot move the top panel. How does this come off? Does it lift or slide or do I need to do something more than remove screws?

it needs a good thump on the front edge of lid to drive it backwards if its stuck
