hoover 550ma does not spin?

HOOVER 550MA does not spin. The belt is OK and the motor windings are not open circuit. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Not enough info. Does the brake release? Does the motor try to move? Can you hear any sound at all when you put it on final spin? Does motor run when bowl finishes filling and does the wash agitate mode?
