hi if my memory serves me correctly is the sed wire they are touching in the fuse box on the inner wing of the engine bay, if that is the case then have someone turn the key and find the problem wire and repair it your self, if its a connector problem replace or clean the connector and if its a wire problem eg, broken or erroded snipp the wire bear back the wire until clean visible wire is showing then solder the to halfs together and tape up if its too short insert an extra length of with. that is its assuming that is the problem.. clios are renound for the wiring to the crankshaft sensor being faulty to count that problem locate the crankshaft sensor which should be located on the top side of the gearbox with a round black plug, get someone to turn the key and play about the the connector block to that sensor if putting pressure on the connector block starts the car then two fixes for this is to go to your local parts supplier and get a connector repair kit or using a coulpe of cable ties put the same ammount of pressure on the connector to get you to your local garage and tell them your findings. just a couple of easy things to try and the most obvious. let me know how you get on
