how can my opel zafira 2003 be fixed it ran without water and the he head ?

it ran without water and the head gasket was repalced . it now has low compression . though the mechanic did a test drive it was not picking up speed easily

you don`t say how bad it overheated,the head may have to come off again and check for warped head,it may need pressure tested,the pistons may have to come out to have a look at the rings,again you don`t say if the low compressions were in one or all cylinders
