how put new ignition barrel in vauxhall corsa 2000?

please could someone help, have removed old ignition barrel no problem but don't seem to be able to put new one in.

check at bottom of where barrel fits in column and you may have to move linkage with a screwdriver to align linkage to barrell to allow it to fit flush.

think the key should be in position1 and also the ign.switch,also make sure the steering lock is off
