pulling away at start?

my freinds girlfriend has a peugeot jetforce 125 4 stroke,and before it pulls away it has to rev to nearly 4500 revs then when accelerator full open it won't drop below 8000 rpm.i was thinking clutch prob could this be right??any help would be greatly appreciated,thankyou.

Hi, if you mean you have to over-rev the engine to pull away?? then check drive belt tension for slipping belt, hopefully that's all it is. Havn't taken one of these covers off so cannot advise on how you take apart, sorry.
