How to get a blockage out of the bent hard plastic hose?

I have an Electrolux lux5000 canister vacuum....the hose is a hard plastic bend then flexible. The kids vacuumed a potato and it is stuck in the hard part of the hose. Can you take it apart somehow to access it?

then justr push the ring back in place

remove the ring from the part where the flexi hose joins the nozzle.just push the two lugs you will see at each side of the hose at the nozzle end you will then be able to clear the blockage
