Nissan Almera SE 2004?

Rear parking sensors are acting up. When reverse is engaged the warning tone sounds on and off continuously (even when there is nothing at the rear of the vehicle) and does not sense any objects at all when reversing.

check the control unit for loose wires mate,the sensors are solid state transducers,they dont go faulty
