When the door is closed and the switch on the wall is then turned on it trips the safety cut out by the fuse box. It seems to be related to the small plastic pin at the top of the door which may operate a cut out of some kind

dont think so,it prob more like the heater is s/c door contacts dont norm blow fuses ,check the heater with a terst meter,unplug the machine first
