The door got slammed shut, and now the dryer won't power on at all. There is power going to the dryer the water container light comes on.

Fuse all good, nothing smells like its been burned out at all.

So I suppose my question is can you break a dryer by shutting the door ?

yes you can.on the door should be a plastic pin that goes through a hole in the front of you dryer that then hits a microswitch behind it to start the dryer
