when I set the timer & start the dryer the timer does not move. It heats & drys ok.....but does not stop unless I manually stop it.

timer needs replaced ,if your doing it yourself,remove one wire at a time and fit it to the new timer,do not do what a lot pof people do,take all wires off old timer and not take note of where they go,and i know i should not have to say this,but,unplug the machine first !!it would have helped if you had given the make of the machine
