bonnet release catch broken on a renalt megane?

im having trouble opening the bonnet on a megane have tryed going in from underneth but the housing around the lock is preventing me from opening it does anyone have and ideas

If its broken at the lever end in the car, remove the lever and grasp the release cable inner with pliers and pull. This should release the bonnet.
