power steering not working?

vauxhall vivaro power steering works when first started then fails when warmed up driveable but difficult to turn wheel when static unless you tap accelerator also makes a squeeling sound when doing this

Good suggestion from the person who has replied already. They work better with fluid in them. If not you could try putting some LUCAS 'Power Steering Stop Leak' in the system. Drain out the fluid from the reservoir with a piece of plastic tubing attached to a squeezy washing up liquid bottle or some such. Squeeze, insert the pipe into the reservoir and release the bottle. It may take time but get as much out asyou can. Then top up with the Lucas stuff. It's like treacle and they guarantee it will stop leaks. I've just done my Cireoen Dispatch and there is some improvement. I think if your system is leaking bigtime it may not be the final answer. Liik fot the product on e-bay and Amazon. Good luch

stupid question but did you check fluid level,there are level for cold and hot,also check pipes for leak as they tend to soften up when heated.belt should also be fairly tensioned and not hard or cracked
